Southeast North Dakota Crop Report: September 26, 2012

Two weeks of fast-paced combining has almost wrapped up the soybean harvest. Yields have generally surpassed expectations. A hard freeze this weekend will help even out moistures in the corn fields, and corn harvest looks to be ahead of schedule. Early reports on corn moisture range from the low to mid 20′s. Continue to monitor your fields for weakened stalks and ear shanks and harvest those fields in a timely manner if necessary. Have a safe harvest!
