Soybean plot at Gaza Co-op in Gaza, IA is currently in the R2-R3 stage. Surprisingly, there is no real pest even with these hot dry conditions. It has been over a month since the last substantial rainfall amounts, few small rains have occurred.

From the Field Update from the Gaza Co-op: June 25, 2012
Latham Hi-Tech Seeds corn plot with Gaza Co-op in Paulina, Iowa, is growing very well thanks to adequate rain throughout the growing season. The plot was planted on April 26 and is currently at the V7 to V10 leaf stages. Northwest Iowa received 9 inches of rain during the month of May and so far in June it has received 2 ½ to 3 inches. No insect or weed pressure at this time.
